I Did It! part 2

Thu Nov 19, 2009, 12:35 PM
This particular announcement is overdue by over a week or so, partly because I wanted to get the correct words for the tangent I will make, but mostly because I know you are not too interested in my nerdy accomplishments. But here it is...

I beat Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past!

To date, this is the second game in the SNES library I have completed, the first being Super Metroid, which leads to an interesting dilemma: was Zelda better?

Here's the thing: I bought and started playing Zelda before considering Super Metroid. I was more comfortable with Zelda, and truth be told it was not such an aggravating experience. Yes, the game had its moments where I cursed, and yes, there are plenty of tricks and secrets that just boggle my mind. Before the internet, who the heck was able to figure out all the paths and find all the items without the Power...NINTENDO POWER!? But the bottom line is that at no point did I feel Zelda was playing tricks on me, trapped me, and overall fucked with me. And at no point did I ever rip the console out of the system and throw it against a wall! I can honestly say that Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a great game.

So could it be that this game is actually better than the all mighty and revered Super Metroid? The one game uber-nerds will hail as the greatest game of all time? (After Chrono Trigger, of course, which is on my shopping list by the way.)

What do you think? Which SNES game is the superior?

I know what's gonna hapen next in your comic she's gonna wake up in a cell which bigger than she is and she will meet some strange charachters
:icon50percentgrey:
Double-Wrong.

She's not transported anywhere, since she's so heavy, so more than likely they'll isolate her on the beach.

BUT...

...she does meet one other "strange" character. You'll see.
:iconcjshadorunner:
Wrong.

What will Daryl's powers be? I gave her powers like super strength, stamina, endurance, durability, sonic burp, noxious and ignitable fart, increase in strength from temporary weight gain and maybe if you allow it to change her size and weight at will. I even gave her a name Fatnormica, also CJ would be on the team and Angie as the Obese Witch and with the monster you told me earlier that she will meet soon and also add one more member you can create and with CJ leading the team will be called Team Shadorunners. Cool, huh?
:icon50percentgrey:
You got a hyper imagination, kid. But CJ and I have a simular plan for the group. And this new guy? He's gonna be a real knock-out. You'll see.
:iconmegadroid:
Love both comics you did one question though. In Return of the 500ft Fatty will Daryl stay gigantic and plump and love it and will she join a team of monsters to fight baddies like in Monsters vs Aliens? That would be awsome especially when or if she marries CJ.
:icon50percentgrey:
Actually she does "team up" with one other "monster". Stay tuned and find out.
:iconnightfox0291:
Happy birthday, CJ!

Sorry about it being belated, I felt like crap yesterday. I think I got a cold from someone--ah well, such are the risks with living at college. Anyway, just wanted to wish you a happy one!

Hey CJ. Real quick, just wanted to say sorry about my sudden mass adding of the 500FF2 series to my favorites. I can't believe I'd forgotten to fave the story as I went along reading it and leaving the occasional comment. :dummy:
Great work so far, you and :icon50percentgrey:. I'm looking forward to your next submission.

I'm sorry about fav raping your inbox but I was kinda on the run in terms of commenting. I must say your style of artwork is excellent. For some reason, it reminds me of The Secret Saturdays.
